Brilliant summary of our current reality. I can't imagine anyone wanting to go to a New Year's Eve party amidst the reality we're living through. But then, those who feel like partying are living in a different epistemological universe than the one we live in. The absolute bifurcation of realities seems to me to be the strangest and most intractable aspect of the unrecognizable world we're living in.
